Nicaragua Surf Spots

(Excerpts from The Surfer's Guide to Costa Rica & SW Nicaragua)

Below is a list of some of the surf breaks on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast. There’s also surf on the East coast at Corn Island and other places not listed here, but most are still protected by closely held secrets.

Nicaragua's Pacific Coast isn't that long, but the road system makes it seem longer than it is. There's no coastal road for much of the coast, so there's a lot of traveling back and forth from the main intercontinental highway to the small roads along the various stretches of beach.

If you really want to hit every spot from north to south, you're best off getting a boat. If you would like to experience parts of Nicaragua other than just the beaches, then get a vehicle and have a good time, guaranteed. You'll just need lots of time.
