Playas de Tijuana

The beachbreak here is fun to good, with something to surf most of the time, but some south swells get blocked by the islands. Shape is good up to double overhead. Mid tide is best. The access is easy and the strip there is kind of fun as it’s the tourist beach for the Tijuana locals. Lots of places to park. Never crowded mid-week, but picks up on the weekends. Something to consider, though, is the pollution. All of Tijuana’s runoff meets the ocean right here.

If you visit the Playas de Tijuana you will need to get back to the toll road in order to head south to the other breaks.
